We definitely got great value for our money at the hotel. The room was lovely, with a spacious bathroom, comfy bed, and a balcony with amazing views. The location was perfect, offering peace and tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet just a short ride away. The staff treated us exceptionally well, providing attentive and friendly service throughout our stay.

Breakfast offerings could have included more Sri Lankan vegetarian options.

I had always wanted to visit Hikkaduwa Beach, so I chose to stay at Asian Jewel Boutique Hotel for its convenient location. However, the check-in process surprised me with an orientation of the area and a refreshing welcome drink. The lounge-like bar with a pool table, DVD selection, and jukebox, as well as the outdoor restaurant offering Asian and British options, were also delightful features.

The hotel is a little older than some we stayed in but the quiet location away from the main road and the fabulous staff more than made up for this.

The Asian Jewel offers great value for money. With its beautiful gardens, clean swimming pool, and scenic lagoon views from the balcony room, it truly feels like a hidden gem. Breakfast with a view over the lagoon is simply delightful.

The room was spacious, cleaned daily, and had a lovely balcony. The breakfast was freshly prepared, and the service was excellent. We enjoyed relaxing in the garden by the pool and appreciated the helpfulness of the owner in organizing local trips.

From the attentive waiters to the wonderful chefs, hotel manager, and friendly cleaner, they all deserve a special mention for their outstanding service. The owner, Dale, was also incredibly welcoming. We are already looking forward to returning one day.

They were always polite, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable. Lastly, the rooms were clean and comfortable, with a nice balcony to relax on. The breakfast with a great view over the lagoon was a perfect way to start the day.

The restaurant served delicious food, with a great variety of Sri Lankan, Asian, and Western dishes. The pool was small but clean, and the whole hotel had a relaxing and tranquil atmosphere. Stayed here during a city trip and the hotel was conveniently located near public transportation and popular attractions. The staff was friendly and always willing to provide helpful recommendations. We especially enjoyed the daily breakfast buffet and the comfortable bed was a bonus for a good night's rest.

The room was smaller than expected, and the air conditioning was not as effective as we hoped, resulting in slightly uncomfortable temperatures during the night. The bathroom could have been cleaner with better maintenance.

It was the perfect place to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. The hotel also offered a range of facilities, including a 24-hour front desk, games room, and a tour desk, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We made Asian Jewel our base and were able to explore all that Hikkaduwa has to offer easily. The hotel's recreational facilities, such as the garden and games room, kept both our kids and us entertained throughout our stay.
